Don Melchor among the 10 Best Wines of the Andes 2016
The icon Cabernet Sauvignon of the Alto Maipo is the only Chilean wine with two vintages on US wine critic James Suckling’s 2016 “100 Best Wines of the Andes” list.
On September 15, the influential US wine critic James Suckling published his 2016 list of the 100 Best Wines of the Andes, and Don Melchor was the only Chilean wine with two vintages featured in this exclusive selection.
The 2012 Don Melchor appeared 6th among the top 10, a privileged position earned with its historic 98 points from the critic, while the 2013 Don Melchor, which earned 96 points, occupied the 50th slot.
The wine made by Enrique Tirado, has been included on this exclusive list for three consecutive years, thereby confirming its position as a world-class wine and a great Chilean ambassador to the world.
