Don Melchor among the Top 100 Wines of the Andes 2017

The 2014 vintage of Don Melchor was recently ranked No. 8 by US wine critic, James Suckling.

Once more, the iconic wine, Don Melchor, attained an outstanding ranking within the “Top 100 Wines of the Andes”, published on the website of US wine critic, James Suckling.

The 2014 vintage of Don Melchor was ranked No. 8 in the prestigious ranking, which for the fifth time listed the iconic Cabernet Sauvignon of Concha y Toro among the best wines in South America.

In his article, the critic highlighted the fact that six out of every ten wines on the list of the “Top 100 of the Andes” are from Chile, and stressed the quality that Chilean wines have attained to date. According to Suckling, this is due to an overall improvement in the winemaking techniques and vineyard management, as well as a series of extraordinary wine harvests.

With this new recognition, the wine made by winemaker Enrique Tirado confirms its position as a World Class Icon and one of the great Chilean ambassadors in the world.
