Don Melchor one of the “Top 100 wines of the Andes 2017″
Don Melchor’s 2014 Vintage took 8th place in the prestigious ranking published by influential US wine critic James Suckling.
Once again the iconic Don Melchor wine has achieved a high ranking in the “Top 100 Wines of the Andes”, published by American critic James Suckling on his website.
Don Melchor’s 2014 vintage took 8TH place in the prestigious selection, making Concha y Toro’s iconic Cabernet Sauvignon one of South America’s top wines for the fifth year in a row.
The wine writer pointed out that six out of ten wines on the Top 100 Wines of the Andes 2017 list were made in Chile, underscoring the high quality attained by today´s Chilean wines. Suckling believes that this in due to a general improvement in vineyard management and winemaking techniques, as well as a string of remarkable harvests.
With this new accolade, the wine made by expert winemaker Enrique Tirado has cemented its position as a world-class vintage and one of Chile’sgreatest global ambassadors.
