Don Melchor concluded a spectacular participation in the 2016 Great Wines of the Andes event, which US wine critic James Suckling began organizing three years ago to promote his annual list of what he considers the best wines from Chile and Argentina.
Implemented in conjunction with three major distributors of Chilean and Argentine wines in the US markets, this year the activity expanded to include Miami and Los Angeles as well as New York City.
In the different versions, winemaker Isabel Mitarakis and Assistant Export Manager for the US Italo Jofré presented the 2012 Don Melchor, which earned 98 points and the 6th position on the 100 Best Wines of the Andes list.
The public was extremely receptive to the wine, which allowed the winemaker to delve into the characteristics that make it so unique.
They also presented the 2014 Marques de Casa Concha Cabernet Sauvignon in all three cities for its 92 points published on JamesSuckling.com.
