The Sao Paulo chapter of the Brazilian Association of Sommeliers visit the Don Melchor Vineyard

The sommeliers from Sao Paolo visited the winery to better understand the process that gives rise to Don Melchor, one of the most important Chilean wines in the Brazilian market.

Twenty members of the Sao Paulo chapter of the Brazilian Association of Sommeliers arrived in Pirque on Saturday, September 10 to taste Don Melchor. They visited the
Don Melchor Vineyard in Puente Alto to learn about the technical aspects of wine and agricultural management. The group also met with winemaker Isabel Mitarakis to taste the 2012 vintage of Don Melchor and the wines from each of the different parcels that are components of the final wine, they also had the opportunity to make their own blend of the different portions of Cabernet Sauvignon and Cabernet Franc found in the vineyard located in the highest sector of the Maipo Valley.

The visit drew to a close in the Viña Concha y Toro Wine Shop in Pirque, where they enjoyed a menu with some of Chile’s most traditional dishes.
